In the MLC elections for the combined Godavari districts, Perabattula Rajasekharam, the coalition candidate, emerged victorious. With a margin of 71,063 votes, he expressed his commitment to striving for the achievement of graduate rights and addressing the issues of unemployed youth in the state.

Amaravati: The coalition has achieved another victory in the MLC elections. In the combined Godavari districts' graduates' MLC elections, the coalition candidate Perabattula Rajasekharam secured a victory. By 12 PM on Tuesday, when the 7th round of counting was completed, Rajasekharam had acquired the required votes (51%) for victory. The officials announced that he had won even before the final round of counting. The election officer, the Eluru district collector, handed over the certificate of victory to him.

Rajasekharam expressed happiness over winning as the coalition candidate. By the completion of seven rounds, he had garnered a total of 1,12,331 votes. His opponent, Didla Veera Raghavulu, received 41,268 votes. With a margin of 71,063 votes, the coalition candidate emerged victorious. By the time the seventh round of counting was over, 1,96,000 votes had been counted, with 1,78,422 valid votes and 17,578 invalid votes. Around 22,000 votes were yet to be counted. Rajasekharam expressed his joy over the great victory as a coalition candidate.

At this moment, CM Chandrababu thanked the graduates of the two districts for their support. He expressed his commitment to striving for the achievement of graduate rights. He also mentioned that the previous government had dealt thoughtlessly with the unemployed youth. During the last 8 months, the state has seen significant investments. After taking oath as CM, Chandrababu made his first signature on the DSC file. He assured that as soon as the election process is complete, the DSC notification will be issued. He further added that he would do his best to ensure that there are no unemployed youth in the state and that everyone would get jobs.
