Before the commencement of the Parliament Budget sessions, the central government organized a united opposition meeting on Thursday. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju mentioned that the opposition meeting was held on January 30 to ensure smooth proceedings for the Budget sessions, which are scheduled to begin on January 31.

The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will address both Houses of Parliament on Friday to inaugurate the Budget session. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the 'Economic Survey' on Friday, followed by the General Budget on Saturday. On Monday, February 3, both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will discuss a resolution thanking the President for her speech. According to the Parliament bulletin, the Budget session will take place in two phases: the first phase starts on January 31 and will continue until February 13. The presentation of the Union Budget will take place on February 1. The second phase of the session will begin on March 10 and conclude on April 4. Discussions are scheduled for February 3, 4, and 6, with a response scheduled for February 6.

Minister Kiren Rijiju, while speaking to the media, appealed for cooperation from opposition leaders for constructive discussions. Rijiju expressed optimism regarding the central budget and mentioned that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to present a balanced and comprehensive budget on February 1. All political parties are keenly awaiting the budget, particularly focusing on economic growth, public welfare, and development plans.
