Third T20 Match Between England and India in Rajkot

In the third T20 match between England and India held in Rajkot, India lost by 26 runs. England, after losing the toss, batted first and scored 171 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, India, chasing a target of 172 runs, was restricted to only 145 runs. This unexpected defeat came as a shock to the Indian team. After the match, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav spoke about his team's loss, citing England’s spinner Adil Rashid as a key factor.

"Adil Rashid gave away only 15 runs in his four overs and dismissed Tilak Varma. His brilliant bowling turned the match in England's favor," Suryakumar said. "I thought the pitch would offer more assistance in the second innings. While Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel were batting, I felt the match was in our hands. However, Rashid’s aggressive bowling and his dismissal of Tilak Varma changed the game. He is truly a world-class bowler and deserves credit," he added.

Suryakumar also mentioned that the pitch was favorable to spinners, which made chasing the target difficult. He acknowledged that there are still lessons to be learned in batting. "We will learn lessons from this defeat," he said.

England’s captain Jos Buttler praised the bowling performance, stating, "Our bowlers did an excellent job. Adil Rashid is a key player for us. He has a variety of techniques in his bowling. Jofra Archer is also a good bowler, known for his consistency. Rashid and Mark Wood adding valuable runs at the end was beneficial for the team." He further added, "In our victory, the skill and experience of our bowlers played a crucial role."
