Nvidia has released a free beta of Nvidia Personal AI router (PAIR), software that connects Windows, macOS and Linux machines on the same network into a single AI inferencing cluster. The tool supports DGX Spark systems, PCs with RTX GPUs, and some macOS devices, with tasks executed in parallel across the nodes. PAIR is aimed at home users but also could be useful in enterprises with idle desktop capacity. It is available for download now.

OpenAI has launched GPT-6 Astra, its first model to hit the Critical threshold for cybersecurity risk under its Preparedness Framework. The model scored 100% on ExploitBench in tests without safeguards and found two zero-day vulnerabilities before launch. Astra will reach ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and API customers in phases, while OpenAI restricts its most dangerous offensive capabilities.
